Pro: The reduced or eliminated tariffs made it easier for Canada & Mexico to trade with each other & us. The state of Texas provides the longest border between the United States and Mexico this has had a positive effect on the Texan economy Texas grew by 13 percent within just one year
Con: since the creation of NAFTA, illegal immigration between Mexico and the United States has only gotten worse. Over the 10-year period between 1990 and 2000, the number of annual illegal immigrants doubled.
Mel Hurtig in his book (The Vanishing Country) draws attention to the fact that over 10,000 Canadian companies have been taken over by foreigners since NAFTA’s ratification, and a large proportion of foreign direct investment in Canada is from foreign takeovers.

My opinion. We all know that both republicans and democrats are to blame for our problems in this day and time. Americans can take set backs if they feel that their president is for the people. Our economy is bad. Our military weak, our attitudes stink. Americans have become selfish demanding and our government control way to privileged.  IF we do not stop and regroup now, we are not only, going to leave more debt to our children and our children’s children we are going to loose our country to those who are buying our debts. It won’t be America, as we know it any longer. We were doing ok in the late nineties. So, tax breaks aren’t going to help it. Nevertheless, we are heading down the road to destruction now, as everything is or has already fallen apart. We need to meet this head on. Phase out the federal health care and so much government control. Government has grown excessively huge.  I as a baby boomer do not need the Government in my health business or any of my personal business. We have out-lawed our selves. We the Baby boomers are the biggest population but we are in denial. Although we have our SS and Medicare, we are still afraid.  We need to be more informed. If we had, cancer we would face it get rid of it. Well we need to do that with our congress and our government control. If Congress were paid for reform, they would owe us money. Lol. Congress needs term limits.  We do not have strong moral ethics anymore, no family values.  We need well educated people to educate our children. It is our responsibility. 78% of the students getting PHDs are coming from other countries. Three thousand students in the U of Texas alone are from China. Just a tidbit; Do you know that neurons start shutting down at 6yrs old? What is your child watching on TV or playing on your Play station, Wii, etc. Not to single out anyone of the evil tools that is running our brains at any given time.  Kids are not learning the right things. They need to use their own imaginations, get outside make friends “in person” they don’t know how to interact with others and they don’t need subliminal messages through the programs they are being subjected to. American children’s educational skills are below other countries.  We are not investing in our children’s education. We need higher educated teachers. They need to be roll models if the kids can’t get it at home at least let them get it at school. If you are not educating yourself in matters that involve you and your kids then you are not helping America solve the problem. Of course others are coming over here illegally they want to work, and if it is under the table so what they think. They send it home to the family that is strong and that stick together. Such fools we have become.  We have become society that feels entitled. Ross Perot made a statement the other day. We went through world war two were fighting all over and it only took four years to win and get done. Eleven Years we have been fighting now and we haven’t even declared war. We are loosing our young dedicated men and women. But for what? Yes, we got rid of Bin laden. Yes, we got rid of Kaddafi, and Husain. How many did that take? Go in get it done and get out. Let them hate us for free! Stop giving money to those countries and start here at home and those who need food water, clothing. Give back to the Indigenous people that had it all taken from them when all the other immigrants came. All those big stars that are martyring them selves over seas let some of the homeless stay in their ten million dollar homes while they are over there slumming and roughing it! Hind sight is 20/20... We need a voice. In addition, this on Craig’s. List rants and raves. No one will ever have any privacy ever again anywhere. All cell phones are built to be tapped, there are cameras everywhere, everyone can be drug tested, and your DNA collected. Any personal information is now and has been considered public information. Warrants are no longer required. And face recognition is online. You will submit or be penalized we're just getting started. We have been desensitized if you will.

Nothing the older people can do

What can be done to let these younger ones see that God created the world  and that  He didn't mean for any of us to not be respected. but when the decietful leaders use ploys to end what America stood for. Something must be done. Even if it is the power of prayer that the son of God returns. and Soon.

We can't do that in any other country. It has been said that America will be taken over and ruined from the inside out. Ode to an Evil Man

You.

 You slug will constantly live in a state of controlled hysteria. Your thoughts will be twisted in knots, your heart will race, and you will ceaselessly be looking over your shoulder because I am the patient unknown who is intent on making your life a miserable mess of all things dirty and nasty. You will be smelling your own sweat you coward.
You will itch and scratch at the very thought of what lies ahead of you in the darkness of your next  walk, into the business of others.
You will hide in a corner squatted down wetting your pants as you quake in your smelly low hanging jeans. Wishing your cell had not gone dead because you were afraid to open the door of the hovel you call home to charge it for fear. Because... WAIT there may be an loud explosion. Oh no that was what you said wasn’t it? In the beginning? You Bully. 
Well again what goes around comes around. Beware of your words for they can fill your mouth like rotten peas. What mayhem might you unknowingly wreak by going north instead of south?  Your thoughts put into a small bag of chaos, lies and dirty deeds threatens to cross your mind at every turn, lurking you see your cheating spouse, an undiscovered tumor, the murderous X, , the bacteria in the fast food cafe, the teen with the hoodie from the last cheated drug deal oh yeah the one with the gun. At any given moment, your life is falling apart as fast as you’re shoring it up. Listen, it’s you screaming in agony Oh and you will speak it fluently. For you there is only one season, the season of sorrow, agony, the hell you have bought into.

Our Soldiers Our Fellow Americans

Afghan security forces and police killed three NATO soldiers in two separate incidents Monday. Two of the soldiers killed were British and one was American.

What do you expect from all soldiers Anyway? This is a stupid question.

 Our men and women are stressed to the limit the other side doesn’t even want us over there.

Realizing that we need to protect ourselves as the sayings “an ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure” and “hind sight is 20/20.” We need to protect our soldiers mind body and soul take more interest in what shape they are in going back two three or four times. Come on. There has to be more than the media is letting on and/or our Government. Re. Staff Sgt. Bales. The man obviously wasn’t fit for combat everyone has a breaking point. What has he done for his country up until now and did someone let him slip through the crack like every other government agency lets some slip through?

Glad to see our US Customs at work.

Westmorland, Calif. – On March 11, 2012, Border Patrol agents assigned to the Indio station seized a substantial amount of cocaine at the Highway 86 Checkpoint near Westmorland.

The incident occurred at approximately 9 p.m., after a Border Patrol Canine Team performed a cursory search that alerted to a white Chevrolet utility-truck. Agents used a large scale imaging system to scan the vehicle which revealed several anomalies within three utility-truck tires located on the bed of the truck. The anomalies led agents to investigate further.

The agents discovered 82 sealed packages of cocaine weighing approximately 230 pounds, within the tires. The cocaine was given an estimated street value of more than $7.3 million. The driver, a 25-year-old male United States citizen was arrested.

The driver, narcotics and vehicle were turned over to the Drug Enforcement Administration.
